On the Verge was my summer qualifying show after my first year at Baylor – which I had to both design and direct. Overmyer’s imaginative script has three Victorian-age female explorers who go out in search of new undiscovered lands and end up traveling forward through all manners of time and space to land in 1955. With limited budget and space (it was presented in the round), I designed a set of luggage for each woman from which props and costumes could be pulled – and the three of which could be combined and recombined to help create the various landscapes they were creating. Imagination!
